Challenge

We started working with Boston Tea Party in 2022, initially cleaning two sites across Bath and Bristol, expanding to service six sites including the Park Street Head office.

The client had used previous cleaning providers and tried to do the cleaning themselves, each time never finding the right combination to achieve the desired standards. The locations all have naturally high footfall and whilst Boston staff keep the place clean and tidy during operating hours, the volume of usage means they need a detailed hygiene clean out-of-hours in readiness for the next day. Boston Tea Party also run a series of community events in the evening which required flexible solutions.

Solution

The service solution for Boston Tea Party is all based around flexibility and having clarity through strong communication channels. Whilst there are set hours across all six sites, we work closely with the Boston management team in planning for disruption and changes that may be needed.

The Lifft Area Supervisor conducts weekly check-ins with the various Site Managers to ensure we can accommodate any changes to the cleaning times for the coming weeks. There is limited space on each site for storing supplies and equipment, so we operate a mobile team across four sites, whilst having static provision in the other two locations. This means we can ensure the correct equipment is available for each site, alongside using the Jangro cleaning solutions provided by our local partner Adcocks. Regular reviews with the Area Manager has ensured any concerns are raised promptly with the client being listened to and response plans activated.
